Clint and Daren waiting for dinner to be ready. Being the first time I've ever hosted a Thanksgiving dinner before, I was a little jealous of them.
As it turns out, it is incredibly difficult to get all of the food done at the same time and keep it all warm until everyone is sitting down for dinner, but Susan, Brandon and I did our best and I think it was pretty close.
Turkey Bowl!
Daren was very hungry and in his defense, we were starting dinner much later than we had anticipated, so smiles were hard to come by at this point.
Friday we spent the afternoon walking around the French Quarter and had Johnny's Po-Boys for the first time. It may look like a hole in the wall, but there is a reason there is always a line out the door, they were delicious!
Jackson Square
Friday night, Brandon and his family went to the new Muppet Movie while Genni and I stayed home and went to bed early. The next day the family watched a soccer game together and then the Zellers packed up their car and started their long drive home. We were so glad they made the trip to spend Thanksgiving with us!
